Before servicing, disconnect the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor and set it aside so that the wiring harness will not be pulled by mistake.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Drain the differential oil. (See <a href=\"SM352903\">DIFFERENTIAL OIL REPLACEMENT<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor from the hub support.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004753.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004753.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            3. Remove the grommet of the rear ABS wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the bracket and set it aside so that it does not interfere with the servicing.<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the rear brake caliper component and suspend it in a place out of the way using a cable. (See <a href=\"SM353002\">REAR BRAKE (DISC) REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004754.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004754.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            5. Remove the rear disc plate. (See <a href=\"SM353002\">REAR BRAKE (DISC) REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            6. When working on the left side of the vehicle, disconnect the auto leveling sensor link from the lower lateral link. (See <a href=\"SM356258\">AUTO LEVELING SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            7. Disconnect the rear stabilizer control link from the lower lateral link. (See <a href=\"SM352875\">REAR STABILIZER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            8. Disconnect the following parts from the hub support and remove the wheel hub component, dust cover, and hub support as a single unit. (See <a href=\"SM352895\">WHEEL HUB COMPONENT REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004755.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004755.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>              a. Upper lateral link (See <a href=\"SM352881\">UPPER LATERAL LINK REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Rear shock absorber and coil spring (See <a href=\"SM352872\">REAR SHOCK ABSORBER AND COIL SPRING REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Lower link (See <a href=\"SM352880\">LOWER LINK REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              d. Trailing link (See <a href=\"SM352883\">TRAILING LINK REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              e. Lower lateral link (See <a href=\"SM352882\">LOWER LATERAL LINK REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              f. Leading link (See <a href=\"SM352879\">LEADING LINK REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            9. Remove in the order shown in the figure.<\/p>\n<p>            10. Install in the reverse order of removal.<\/p>\n<p>            11. Add differential oil. (See <a href=\"SM352903\">DIFFERENTIAL OIL REPLACEMENT<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            12. Inspect the rear wheel alignment and adjust if necessary. When removing the rear drive shaft from the rear differential, be careful not to damage the oil seal. If the oil seal is damaged, replace it with a new one.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Set the <b>SST (49 B025 010)<\/b> to the rear drive shaft.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004756.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004756.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. Install the <b>SST (49 B025 017)<\/b> to the <b>SST (49 B025 010)<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>            3. Disengage the rear drive shaft from the rear differential using the <b>SST<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>            4. Remove the rear drive shaft.<br \/>\n          <a name=\"id03130014500002\" id=\"id03130014500002\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Rear Drive Shaft Clip Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p>            1. Install a new clip to the clip groove at the end of the rear drive shaft with the clip opening facing upward.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004757.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUW00004757.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>            2. Verify that the outer diameter of the clip is within the standard.<\/p>\n<ul>\n                <b>Standard<\/b><\/p>\n<li>\n<p>Less than 31.2 mm {1.23 in}<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If it exceeds the standard, repeat installation using a new clip.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id03130014500003\" id=\"id03130014500003\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Rear Drive Shaft Installation Note<\/h4>\n<p><b><span class=\"c1\">CAUTION:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The oil seal could be damaged by the end of the rear drive shaft. When removing the rear drive shaft from the rear differential, be careful not to damage the oil seal. If the oil seal is damaged, replace it with a new one.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>            1. Apply differential oil to the oil seal lip.<\/p>\n<p>            2. Install the rear drive shaft to the rear differential.<\/p>\n<p>            3.
