The plunger presses up the rocker arm by the spring force of the plunger spring to maintain the valve clearance at 0 mm.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUN00001125.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUN00001125.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0110h200920009\" id=\"id0110h200920009\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>During valve opening<\/h5>\n<p>            1. When the cam presses down the rocker arm, load is applied to the plunger and valve.<\/p>\n<p>            2. When load is applied to the plunger, the hydraulic pressure in the high pressure chamber (A chamber) increases and the check ball closes the hydraulic passage.<\/p>\n<p>            3. When the hydraulic passage is closed, the plunger is fixed and it becomes the pivot point of the rocker arm because the volume of the engine oil in the high pressure chamber no longer changes.<\/p>\n<p>            4. The rocker arm presses down the valve.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUN00001126.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AMXUUN00001126.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0110h200920010\" id=\"id0110h200920010\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>After valve opening<\/h5>\n<p>            1. When load is not applied to the plunger, the plunger spring presses up the plunger (maintains valve clearance at 0 mm).<\/p>\n<p>            2. Because the capacity of the high pressure chamber (A chamber) increases in Step 1, the check ball is opened and engine oil flows from the reserve chamber (B chamber) to the high pressure chamber (A chamber) to prepare for the next step.<\/p>\n<p>            3.
