In addition, the planetary gear is engaged with the sprocket gear and the camshaft gear.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The number of teeth for the planetary gear (large) is one tooth fewer than the number of teeth for the sprocket gear.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The number of teeth for the planetary gear (small) is one tooth fewer than the number of teeth for the camshaft gear.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The planetary gear rotates by receiving the rotation force from the eccentric shaft.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The camshaft gear rotates by receiving the rotation force from the planetary gear.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0110h200210003\" id=\"id0110h200210003\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Operation<\/h4>\n<p><a name=\"id0110h200210004\" id=\"id0110h200210004\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Advance mode<\/h5>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The electric variable valve timing motor rotation speed is faster than the intake camshaft sprocket rotation speed. As a result, the camshaft gear rotates in the advance direction relative to the intake camshaft sprocket, and the valve timing is advanced.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZN00003071.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZN00003071.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0110h200210005\" id=\"id0110h200210005\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Retard mode<\/h5>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The electric variable valve timing motor rotation speed is slower than the intake camshaft sprocket rotation speed. As a result, the camshaft gear rotates in the retard direction relative to the intake camshaft sprocket, and the valve timing is retarded. (If engine rotation speed is slow, the electric variable valve timing motor may be rotating in reverse and the camshaft gear may be rotating in the retard direction.)<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZN00003073.GIF\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/16ND\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/AM2ZZN00003073.GIF\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>          <a name=\"id0110h200210006\" id=\"id0110h200210006\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h5>Hold mode<\/h5>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>The electric variable valve timing motor rotation speed is the same as the intake camshaft sprocket rotation speed.
