REMOTE TRANSMITTER BATTERY VOLTAGE INSPECTION
NOTE:
-
A simple inspection of the remaining battery power of the remote transmitter can be performed by activating the battery voltage low warning.
-
The battery voltage low warning is performed via transmission between the remote transmitter and the vehicle. If the battery power of the remote transmitter is completely depleted, transmission between the remote transmitter and the vehicle is not established and the battery voltage warning is not activated.
-
If the remote transmitter is not touching the push button start, the engine cannot be switched ON (engine off), and the battery voltage low warning is not activated, it is likely that the remote transmitter battery power is completely depleted.
Operation Procedure For Battery Voltage Low Warning Indication
1. Place the remote transmitter inside the vehicle and close all of the doors.
2. Switch the ignition ON (engine off) and wait approx. 30 s.
3. Switch the ignition off.
4. Verify that the KEY indicator light (green) in the instrument cluster is not flashing.
-
If the KEY indicator light (green) flashes for approx. 30 s, replace the remote transmitter battery because the battery power is depleted. (See REMOTE TRANSMITTER DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY.)
