BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
WARNING:

Handling the seat (with side air bag module) improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the seat (with side air bag module).

1. Switch the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Remove the seat. (See SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Disconnect the connector as shown in the figure.
5. Remove the clip.
6. Remove the bolt.
7. Remove the buckle.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
9. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
10. Verify that the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s and turns off.

If the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light does not operate, refer to the on-board diagnostic system (air bag system) and perform inspection of the system.
