System malfunction location

  • SAS control module connectors are poorly connected

Detection condition

WARNING:

  • Detection conditions are for understanding the DTC outline before performing an inspection. Performing an inspection according to only the detection conditions may cause injury due to an operating error, or damage the system. When performing an inspection, always follow the inspection procedure.

  • No continuity between poorly connected detector bar terminals of the SAS control module, or the measurement value is out of the normal range even though there is continuity

  • SAS control module connectors are poorly connected

  • SAS control module connector cover malfunction

  • SAS control module connector malfunction

  • SAS control module malfunction

PERFORM MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS USING FLOWCHART

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Re-perform the malfunction diagnosis using the flowchart. (See FOREWORD [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)].)

INSPECT SAS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTORS CONNECTION CONDITION

WARNING:

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Reconnect the SAS control module connector properly, then go to Step 4.

VERIFY PARTIALLY DISCONNETCTED DETECTION BAR OF SAS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Replace the air bag harness.

4

PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR SAS CONTROL MODULE

Yes

Repeat the inspection from Step 1.

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.
