BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) WARNING LIGHT

Purpose

  • The blind spot monitoring (BSM) warning lights alert the driver to the presence of a vehicle approaching from behind.

Functions

  • If an approaching vehicle enters the blind spot monitoring (BSM) system alert area or a vehicle will reach the front end of the alert area within 3 s, the blind spot monitoring (BSM) warning light turns on, and if a turn switch signal is received on the side where the approaching vehicle exists, the indicator light flashes.

  • The blind spot monitoring (BSM) warning lights flash in the pattern shown in the figure.

Construction

  • The blind spot monitoring (BSM) warning lights are built into the left/right outer mirror glass.

  • A highly durable, low power consumption LED has been adopted for the blind spot monitoring (BSM) warning lights.
