2016 – MX-5 – Body and Accessories

FUSE BLOCK

Purpose

• Fuses used by each system are grouped and housed together to the fuse block for smooth inspection and replacement servicing.

Function

• The fuse block groups and houses together the fuses.

Construction

• The fuse block is located inside the front side trim (LH).

  

Operation

1. If electric current of the specified value or more flows to a fuse, the fuse generates heat and blows (1).

NOTE:

• The time until a fuse blows depends on the amount of electrical current.

2. If a fuse is blown, electric current flowing to each part downstream of the fuse is interrupted (2).
