POWER SUPPLY SWITCHING

Outline

  • The power supply circuit can be switched by pressing the bush button start.

Function

  • Based on the push button start signals, the start stop unit switches the power supply circuit by turning on/off the relay according to the vehicle conditions such as the position of the selector lever (AT)/shift lever (MT) and depression/release of the brake pedal (AT)/clutch pedal (MT).

Automatic ignition switch off function
  • When all the following signals are detected for 25 min or more, the start stop unit switches the ignition off automatically.

    • Light switch signal (light switch not operated)

    • Wiper and washer switch signal (wiper and washer switch not operated)

    • Steering switch signal (steering switch not operated)

    • Hazard warning switch signal (hazard warning switch not operated)

    • Push button start signal (push button start not operated)

    • ACC relay ON signal

    • IG1 relay OFF signal

    • All door latch switch OFF signals (all doors closed)

    • Clutch pedal position (CPP) switch OFF signal (clutch pedal not depressed) (MT)

    • Starter interlock switch OFF signal (clutch pedal not depressed) (MT)

    • Brake switch OFF signal (brake pedal not depressed) (AT)

    • Vehicle speed signal (5 km/h {3 mph} or less)

    • NOT-P position switch OFF signal (selector lever is in P position) (AT)

    • P position signal (selector lever is in P position) (AT)

Operation

Switching the ignition
  • By pressing the push button start under the conditions shown in the table, the ignition can be switched.

To switch the ignition to ACC or off from ON (engine on), the vehicle speed must be 5 km/h {3 mph} or less.

Switching the power supply circuit
  • The start stop unit switches the power supply circuit as shown in the figure according to the switching of the ignition.

Fail-safe

  • Not applicable
