ROD ANTENNA [WITH CENTER DISPLAY]

Purpose, Function

• Converts radio broadcast waves to electric signals and sends the signals to the tuner and amplifier unit (TAU).

Construction

• The rod antenna consists of the following parts.

• The antenna rod converts the received radio station signal to an electrical signal.

• The antenna base is integrated with the antenna amplifier which amplifies the electric signal.

Operation

• The TAU supplies (1) power to the antenna amplifier in the rod antenna.

• The rod antenna converts (2) the received radio waves of a radio broadcast to an electric signal.

• The rod antenna amplifies the converted electric signal using the antenna amplifier and sends (3) the signal to the TAU.
