2016 – MX-5 – Body and Accessories

HAZARD WARNING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2. Remove the following parts:

a. Passenger-side scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

b. Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

c. Passenger-side A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

d. Passenger-side lower panel (See PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

e. Center panel No.2 (See CENTER PANEL No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. While pressing the hazard warning switch hooks in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, press the hazard warning switch in the direction of arrow (2), and disconnect the hazard warning switch hooks from the center panel No.2.

4. Remove the hazard warning switch.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
